About the Symposium

The IAGE Student Chapter Symposium 2026 is a one-day in-person event hosted at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Canada.

The symposium will bring together graduate students, early-career researchers, faculty members, industry representatives, and research partners working in the field of green energy technologies. The event will provide a platform for scientific exchange, student presentations, networking, and discussion around current challenges and opportunities in sustainable energy research.

The program will focus on topics such as hydrogen technologies, fuel cells, electrochemical energy storage, renewable energy systems, sustainable materials, and advanced approaches for clean energy development.

Who Should Attend?

 This event is open to:
  • Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Early-career researchers
  • Faculty members and research professionals
  • Industry representatives and partners
  • Participants interested in green energy and sustainable technologies

Students and early-career researchers are particularly encouraged to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations.

Registration

Registration will be required for all participants, including presenters and non-presenting attendees.

Registration will help the organizing committee plan the venue capacity, coffee breaks, lunch, networking activities, and laboratory visits.

Call for Abstracts

Students and early-career researchers are invited to submit abstracts related to green energy technologies and sustainable energy systems.

Submissions may be considered for oral or poster presentations, depending on the final program and the number of accepted abstracts.

Venue & Laboratory Tour

The symposium will take place at:

Atrium Salon, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR)
Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada

Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of advanced research facilities, including the Shahgaldi Research Group, the Hydrogen Research Institute, and I2E3.

These laboratories focus on fuel cells, water electrolyzers, energy storage technologies, and advanced materials, and will offer participants insight into current research activities and experimental infrastructure at UQTR.

Morning : Welcome session, invited talks, and student presentations

Midday : Lunch and networking

Afternoon : Poster session, laboratory visits, and closing remarks
